Aegean Rebreath establishes a partnership with one of the largest universities in Virginia, Old Dominion University! By signing a Memorandum of Cooperation and with the support of the Greek America Foundation, a cooperation framework has been developed that will allow us to implement joint research activities in Greece and Cyprus.
In a meeting we held in Athens, we had the opportunity to discuss and specify the context of our actions related to the implementation of international joint research projects for the marine environment, the development of educational activities, the provision of support to the Blue Municipalities Network in Greece and the establishment of synergies for joint pilot projects. The partners aim at developing projects that will be founded on the exchange of know-how and the development of innovative solutions that will address identified problems in the Aegean Sea.
Aegean Rebreath considers this partnership quite important since the American university has long experience in research activities taking place in the USA, which will further support the development of custom-made practices for the Aegean Sea as well. More importantly, our new partners have expressed their interest to contribute to our efforts for addressing the needs of the Blue Municipalities Network. Therefore, we expect more news will be soon available!
