Our third marine litter station in Greece is located in Poros

Our team was back in Poros for third time in order to communicate some good news! The establishment of an Aegean Rebreath marine litter station with the cooperation of the Municipality of Poros and Day 8 (Yacht week).

From our perspective the establishment of a station requires the interest and the active engagement of the municipality, the fishermen community and the local society. And we are really happy that the Yacht Week paved the way since the sailing community has a major impact on marine pollution.

ARD Mediathek was there and covered our efforts during a weekend that included harbor clean up activities, ghost nets removal from reefs and another round of consultation with the local authorities and the citizens.

That was  a celebration for all of us!
