Short Description of Andros Activity

Have you ever seen a gulf full of “plastic corals”? This is what we witnessed during our first initiative in Andros island. Our team was shocked at the sight of “plastic reefs” fully covering the sea floor. This is a clear example of how illegal landfills can generate extremely serious problems for the surrounding areas.

In general, we managed to recover more than 20 big shacks of plastic bags, 300 kgs of ghost nets from reefs  and implement research activities.
