Finalizing summer activities in Alonissos island

Our last initiative for the summer took place in Alonissos island which is the first municipality of the Northern Sporades to join the Blue Municipalities network. An initiative that was particularly widespread taking into consideration that during the first day the activities took place in 4 different locations on the island.

The 45 participants developed activities in harbors, beaches and reefs aiming at the preservation of the marine and coastal environment as well as the mapping of the polluted zones.

At the same time, we had the opportunity to visit our station on the island and discuss with the local community and the municipal authorities the next steps of our cooperation and also all recent developments related to the Blue Municipalities network.
